Who this is for
New providers, existing unregistered providers and organisations expanding into new registration groups.
Clear scope. Tailored recommendation. No obligation.About this service
Becoming a registered NDIS provider involves a structured process managed by the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission. You need to choose the right registration groups, complete a self-assessment against the NDIS Practice Standards, develop compliant policies and procedures, and pass a quality audit.
The process rewards preparation. Providers who get their documentation, systems and evidence ready before applying can move through each stage more smoothly and with fewer avoidable setbacks.
What you need to know
Your registration groups determine which Practice Standards apply and whether you need a verification or certification audit.
There are 36 registration groups. Your choices must match the supports you plan to deliver and determine the standards, audit type and documents required.
You must show how your organisation meets each relevant Practice Standard with documented evidence, not just statements of compliance.
The Commission assesses the applicant and key personnel, including criminal history and suitability to deliver NDIS supports.
An approved quality auditor conducts a verification or certification audit and submits a recommendation to the Commission.
The Commission reviews the audit recommendation and suitability assessment before making the final registration decision.
